I hail from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Appalachian State University. I am excited to be here in New Mexico, where, in addition to working as an Americorps VISTA for the Community Learning Network, I look forward to getting involved in the local agriculture and sustainability movements, as well as the art scene. I believe that the key to achieving better environmentally-friendly systems within the US and ending poverty is by empowering communities, and I am ready to enact this through my work here at CLN.
